Captain DonTrip Log February 3 Thru February 8

Hello from sunny Panama! Joining us this week were 11 guests, Gary Ganz, Michael Ganz, Jim Lyons, Rich Lyons, Tony Vendramin, Jeff and Cynthia Downer, Mike and Teresa Wilson, Joe Solarski and Wayne Stasiulis. We also had Tom Secher and his group of 3 from France and Denmark aboard for 2 days, in the evenings?taking advantage of our floating lodge. It was a very busy week.

With this being Super Bowl Sunday, Gary, Mike, Jim, Rich and Tony didn?t want to miss the game, even in Panama. So at about 3 pm on Sunday, this group headed back into David to watch the game at the Hotel Nacional. It was a wild night, as the town was busy with the Baseball Finals between Panama City and David; David won, so it was all one big party! They spent the night at the hotel, and then headed back out at 5:30am Monday morning to get back to the real task at hand. Jeff Downer and his group had "gone fishing", and did not waste any time getting their hooks wet.

Tia Downer and Teresa Wilson divided their time enjoying the many beaches, sea kayaking, getting up late and doing just about anything they wanted, along with all that they did get in a little fishing, landing a nice grouper and a large White Tip shark.

There were many Marlin and Sailfish in the water, but the fish were not hitting the bait, and this report reflects it

This week was a busy one, with 15 guests' onboard heading in different directions, additional trips to David for the Super Bowl and moving the ship to keep up, or try to keep up with the fish made for a very exciting week.

Until next time...
