Two Oceans Expedition

he Two Oceans Expedition features diving both the Atlantic/Caribbean ocean
basin and the Pacific with a transit through the incredible Panama Canal.
Also we will visit two of the most primitive Indian tribes in this hemisphere.
Few divers have had this unique opportunity to compare, contrast and study the startling
differences in marine life, habitats and oceanography that this expedition offers.

Special Research Diving Expeditions
The expedition will start in one ocean, experience several
dives on typical area habitats, travel across the isthmus of Panama through the
Panama Canal and then dive and explore another completely different environment
in another ocean before returning to Panama City.
During this trip you will enjoy the natural beauty of the
tropical rainforest, sharing customs and lifestyles of the indigenous population,
as well as a folkloric presentation. You will visit a community of Embera Indians
who settled in the Charges River Valley. While visiting the San Blas Islands you
will get to know the Kuna Indians and their villages.
Portobelo, the Spanish town and forts which guarded the
gold and silver destined for the Spanish court will be visited. Tour this old city
with its history and forts or dive the harbor. Portobelo was Spain's port for all
the gold, emeralds and silver laden ships during the conquest of the Americas.
Contadora, in the Perlas Island group will be visited. Once
famous as a pearl diving area, today it offers clear seas for water sports and exploring.
This expedition is a snorkeling and diving trip with history
and opportunity to compare, contrast and study the startling differences in marine
life, habitats and oceanography.
