International Angler and Lecturer Also Known as the "Master Caster" |
|
Jim has been in the fishing industry for some 40 years and he has been a key note
speaker at sports conventions all over the planet. Jim is known for his very in
depth fishing knowledge and skills. His casting skills are something to see in that
he can knock a pen out of your mouth from 50 feet away. “I’ve seen him
do it many times”, quotes Don Iovino, past Bass Masters World Champion.
Jim can captivate a crowd on most fishing subjects, like knots, lines and big game fish fighting techniques. He has been interviewed by just about all of the fishing periodicals and he is the author of numerous articles related to fishing. He is a past “Master Instructor” for “Western Outdoor News” a very well known fishing magazine. Jim has been associated with the “Coral Star” since its inception, and even before when it was called the “Coiba Explorer”. Each year Jim conducts a “big game” fishing school aboard the Coral Star where each evening different topics are discussed, such as: casting, knots, fighting techniques and the different lines (including spectra lines). He will teach you how to join dissimilar lines, instruct you on 4-5 of the most important knots you should know for both fresh and salt water applications. Attendee’s come away with some great new knowledge that they can show their friends. JJim is well respected for being a “straight-shooter”, competent and professional. He isn’t a “tobacco chewing redneck” that just wants to kill fish. He has standards that he doesn’t compromise and his public reputation is most important. Oh, and by the way, Jim has caught some HUGE fish some over 1,000 lbs….so, he’s been there and he knows what it is all about. So, come join Jim Scarlata aboard the Coral Star and leave your egos at the door and spend some quality time with one of the best kept secrets in the fishing industry. You won’t regret it!! |
